Our Philosophy

The more a child develops their love of learning, the more they will flourish and the happier they will be.

Caring, responsive relationships

Our educators and staff build caring and responsive relationships among children, and families. We aim to create learning environments where every child feels a sense of belonging, with plenty of opportunities for play that can help them develop their competence, capacity, and potential. We recognize that children learn best through play, which is why we value and support children’s freely chosen, enjoyable, and active play as a crucial part of their learning and social development.

Goals and Objectives

At Sherif FDC, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality programs that align with our policies. Our programs are centered around the four foundations of learning: well-being, engagement, belonging, and expression, with a focus on promoting physical, social, and emotional health. By nurturing communities of learners that include children, families, and educators, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. To achieve these goals, we have established a set of approaches and objectives in accordance with the National Quality Standard (NQS).

A Partnership for The Future

We recognise the significance of parent engagement in childcare provision and the crucial role it plays in the growth of each child. We encourage parents to take an active part in their child’s development by visiting, participating in programs, and attending special events, workshops, and celebrations. Parents are encouraged to share their unique interests and talents, such as recipes, stories, or leading daycare activities.

Diversity and Inclusion

we acknowledge the importance of every child’s right to feel included and involved in our multicultural programs. We understand that each child has unique beliefs, strengths, and cultural backgrounds that contribute to the richness of our community.

In line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time, Our
Place (Framework fir School Aged Children – FSAC), we believe in building partnerships between educators, families, and support professionals to discover learning opportunities in everyday activities, routines, and play. We aim to provide children with additional needs the chance to actively participate and engage in these experiences to facilitate their learning and growth.

Sustainability

Our service promotes environmental consciousness and sustainability by implementing practices such as recycling, reducing energy usage, and using environmentally-friendly materials. We aim to cultivate a sense of responsibility and respect for the environment among children, and educate them on conservation and sustainability. By doing so, we can serve as a role model for children and their families, and promote positive environmental behaviors. This approach is a crucial aspect of our commitment to early childhood education and has the potential to make a positive impact on the wider community.

What our principles mean to you?

Our fundamental philosophy is reflected in these principles, which emphasize the importance of recognizing the individuality of each child. Our goal is to provide a secure, stimulating, healthy, and enjoyable environment that maximizes the potential for children to grow and develop.
